The sky is not the limit
A giant leap for logistics
In 1969, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. This was one of the biggest human achievements of all time. Just a few months later, three different pioneers – Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn – created another legendary moment. They founded DHL: the first international delivery service. This was a smart initiative that grew into the largest logistics company in the world. How did they do this? By always continuing to push the boundaries. This is perfectly summed up our ultimate goal: to deliver on the moon. A mission that Neil would be proud of.
Connecting people, improving lives
DHL and Deutsche Post form the largest postal service and logistics company in the world. Together we are known as the DHL Group. We have an unrivalled portfolio of logistics solutions via the road, air, and rail. With half a million employees located across more than 220 countries, we effortlessly connect all four corners of the world.
Two logistics giants were brought in under the yellow and red DHL flag, one from the business transport industry and the other from the consumer market. Together with Van Gend & Loos and Selektvracht, DHL eCommerce is the ultimate shipping service in Europe.

Delivering Excellence in a Digital World
We carefully review our strategy every five years. Strategy 2025 is the guideline on which we base our working practices - Delivering Excellence in a Digital World. The strategy summarizes the way we rebuild our sector using digitization with the aim of connecting people and improving lives. In doing so, we continue to position ourselves as the global logistics service provider. Strategy 2025 is ‘powered by’ digitization.
For the green goal
Our contribution to a more sustainable planet can mean only one thing – zero emissions in logistics. It’s an enormous challenge, which is why we are fully committed to overcoming it. We have a substantial package of measures in place to reduce our CO2 emissions, and what we do emit, we offset through external partners, projects, and initiatives.
There for each other
Transporting parcels is what we do, but we’re so much more than just a logistics partner. Our DHL Cares foundation operates within three pillars – GoHelp, GoTeach, and GoGreen – to support good causes and social initiatives in the Benelux, not only with funds, but with advice, resources, and people as well. By combining our strengths with those of our customers and partners, we are helping society move forward.
Striving forward with first choice
DHL has wonderful clients all over the world, and we'd like to keep it that way. That's why we ensure that we are and remain their first choice through our excellent service and through First Choice. This is our first-class improvement program that helps everyone in our organization strive forward every single day, guided by the motto: “Everybody. Everyday. Everywhere. A little bit better.”
