On Wednesday, October 8, we celebrated Kinderzwerfboekdag (Children’s Traveling Book Day) at the Dutch Open Air Museum: a day filled with reading fun, storytelling moments, and an engaging activity that invited kids to participate. Children who brought a book received free admission to the park — and they showed up in large numbers!
With animal expert Floris Göbel (who also presented his new book), children’s book authors Yorick Goldewijk, Lotje, and Linda Dielemans, and the #SameDream athletes Laura Dijkema and Katja Stam, the day was full of energy, adventurous stories, and connection.
During the event, the partnership with the National Children’s Aid Fund was extended for another two years. As a logistics partner, DHL will continue supporting the safe “travels” of thousands of children’s books throughout the Netherlands, passing from child to child.
